This little fellow is known only from some teeth, a tiny sickle claw, and some feather imprints. The coloration is loosely based around the Caracara, or mexican eagle.

From Alabama, you say? I'm from that place.
Nice to see some of the earlier inhabitants. (smile)

If this is going in a museum, you really should fix up that wing, the orientation isn't right. Fellow Deviant Smnt2000 has some really great, easy to follow, examples/guides here: [link] and here: [link]
Additioally, the paper describing the Alabama feather impressions mentions what may be a 16cm rectrix (tail feather) from a dromaeosaur, so you might want to throw on a tail fan on too in reference to this, but that's up to you.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, they're just friendly suggestions. I am sure you can agree that we want museum displays to be as accurate and educational as possible, yes?

No worries! It's for the cover of a musuem bulletin, so there's A little bit of a deadline, but I'll try and go back in to fix the wing. Thanks for the heads up.

I did think about a tail fan, but I've honestly never much liked drawing them, and to my way of thinking they could have been gender specific. So I'm going to pass on that, I think. :)
