In both of your automatically drawing the pectoral muscles are rather underdeveloped which is rather odd since they'd be responsible for pulling the wings down. In most animals capable of flight the muscles are rather thick to the point that it looks exaggerated, just take a gander at birds and bats.

When it comes to 6-limbed dragons I love the work Wayne Reynolds put into his dragon designs, especially since he was the loead on designing the dragons for D&D 3rd edition's appearances. He broke down the physiology of his dragons in the Dragconomicon which can be found shamelessly copied here: dragons.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_… including Reynold's artwork on the subject.

With that in mind, have you considered referencing felines for a 6-limbed dragon's musculature. they're fast predators capable of the sort of hit and run tactics that you mention in the comments and are really good at jumping, something that can easily be developed into a short distance take off maneuver. Seriously, house cats can jump more than five feet high from a standstill.
